Trainee Administrator (Shipping & Logistics Department)

Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm

£14,000 – £16,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning business who are experiencing rapid growth and require a Trainee within their Shipping Department. This is an entry level role & is a great opportunity for a School/College leaver who is looking to kick-start their office career.

You will need to have a willingness to learn, a focused mindset, a good work ethic and the ability of multitasking. This is a busy role and can be quite complex at times therefore you will need to be fastidious, thorough and a quick learner.

Working within a friendly team, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support within the Shipping & Logistics department
  • Processing paperwork on to the system, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post, including couriers
  • Assisting in essential alphanumeric data entry
  • Dealing with packing lists with detailed reference numbers and barcodes
  • Answering calls, taking messages, dealing with enquiries
  • Filing, faxing, photocopying and all associated administrative tasks

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C or above/A Levels (or equivalent) are ideal
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and punctual
  • Professional and able to liaise at any level
