Payroll Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Maldon for an experienced Payroll Officer to cover maternity leave for 15-18 months. This is a demanding role and one which you will need to be highly organised, efficient & able to work alone. Reporting in to the HR Manager, your duties will include:

* Process and report the monthly payroll

* Working closely with the HR Manager

* Dealing with all payroll & benefits queries

* Assist the HR Department with employee related matters

* Payroll reconciliation

* Preparation of journals to the GL

* New starter, leaver & pay calculations

* Pension calculations, submissions & reporting

* Overseeing the Time & Attendance system

* Year end processing of P60’s, RTI, PSA & P11D returns

* Attending employee meetings & assist in employee related matters

Requirements

* CIPP Qualified would be an advantage

* Full understanding of the payroll process from start to finish

* Familiarity of current tax, NIC & SSP

* Management information reporting using spreadsheets

* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

* Ability to work independently & prioritise your own workload

Estimated start date to be around September/October time (dep. on notice period)

Monday to Friday – 40 hour week
